Body Skin Care

Daily care is needed for a beautiful, healthy skin. For a supple, soft and skin that radiates beauty, just follow the simple tips mentioned below.

Protection from Sun

Always wear sun cream with SPF that is adapted to your skin type. Stay out of the sun during the hottest hours of the day. Use hats and umbrellas.

Use gentle soap / Body wash

For your cleansing routine, use gentle and soap-free skincare products. Lipid-rich soaps are the best ones for daily cleansing of your skin.

Shower……avoid bath

A shower is better to take care of your skin than a bath. Bath tends to dehydrate the skin.

Water temperature and time of shower

Lukewarm or cold water should be used rather than hot water. This ensures that the natural oils which moisturize and smoothen the skin, stay on the skin.
Do not stay in the shower for more than 10 minutes. More time in the shower leads to loss of natural essential oils from the skin.

Gently pat and dry the skin. Do not rub!

Rinse your entire body off really well post cleansing to remove the traces of cleansing product. Dry your skin by gently patting it with a towel. Never rub your skin until it is dry.

Moisturize daily

After patting your skin dry gently with the towel, use a suitable moisturizing cream and moisturize your skin. Irrespective of your skin type, moisturizing is a must. It helps restore the hydrolipidic film that covers epidermis.

Dress appropriately to protect against environmental elements

The cold weather, wind, sun, and dust tend to dry out the skin. Dress warmly in cold weather to keep your skin supple and soft. Cover your skin appropriately when getting sun exposed. Use scarf’s to protect hair and skin.

Hydrate

Drink a lot of water. It helps to keep your skin hydrated. Drinking 8 glasses of water per day is advised.

Eat healthy and nutrition rich meals.

Eating right nutritious food not only helps the body to remain fit but does phenomenal good to your skin. Eat fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants. This helps to maintain a glowing and soft skin as the body fights the damaging free radicals with antioxidants.

Sleep enough

Getting enough sleep, from 7 to 9 hours will help your skin health.

Avoid smoking and excessive drinking

Skin ages rapidly in smokers. Skin loses its luster and makes it look duller. Excessive drinking can dehydrate your body.

Exfoliate

Add a sugar scrub into your shower routine, at least once a week. Gently massage the scrub into your skin with a focus on your elbows, knees, and heels as they need extra exfoliation.
Exfoliation removes dead skin and stimulates the formation of fresh skin cells.

Shave it right

Start by taking a shower to make the skin soft. Apply shaving cream to your skin and carefully move the razor.

Use good nourishing moisturizer

Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize! It is the key to healthy skin.

Massages

Get relaxing body massages and lymphatic drainage procedures as and when needed.
